The vehicle owner must present an insurance document valid for two years.

A two-year voluntary car registration service has been rolled out in Sharjah with an intention to ensure quality, efficiency, and transparency in all administrative services.

The two-year registration license (Mulkia) is applicable for newly acquired light vehicles that are rolled out in Sharjah. The only criteria to avail the service is that the vehicle owner present a two-year valid insurance for the same.

Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police have confirmed that these initiatives are directed towards improving the quality of service offered by the Sharjah Police to meet the expectation of its residents.

Al Shamsi, further added that these efforts will help considerably save the time and efforts of the residents.

To avail the service the residents need to present the two-year valid Sharjah car insurance and pay the two-year fees at the counter.
