Purchasing Your Salik Tag

Online via the Salik Website

Access Salik Services: Visit the official Salik Dubai website and navigate to the Salik Services section.

Select My Tag > Purchase Tag: Scroll to the My Tag area and click Purchase Tag to begin.

In-Person at Gas Stations

Authorized petrol stations across Dubai, Emarat, EPPCO, ENOC, and ADNOC sell Salik tags directly at the pump:

• Visit any of the listed stations.

• Provide your vehicle registration card.

• Pay AED 100 (AED 50 tag + AED 50 initial balance).

• Receive your Salik tag instantly without any delivery fee.

It is also worth remembering that vehicles registered outside the UAE must purchase tags through authorized sales agents; the online route is unavailable to them.

Documents and Details Needed for Purchase

Before heading online or to a petrol station, have the following on hand:

• You require a valid phone number for the purpose of receiving OTP as part of the verification.

• Vehicle registration card details

Registering Your Salik Tag

Owning a tag is only half the battle, you must register Salik tag to link it with your vehicle and Salik account. Dubai’s RTA provides users with multiple platforms and options to register for a Salik tag. 

Online via the Salik Website

Log In: The first step is to log in to your account.

Navigate to My Tags: Select Register New Tag.

Input Tag and Vehicle Info: Provide your Salik tag number along with the activation key. Other than this, you could also be asked to add the registration information of your vehicle.

Submit & Confirm: Review and submit. You will receive an SMS or email confirming successful registration.

Via RTA Smart Apps

You could also do the same through the Dubai Now App or the Dubai Drive App:

• Log in to the app of your choice and choose Salik from the menu.

• Tap Tag Registration.

• Key in your tag number, activation key, and vehicle details.

• Submit and await in-app confirmation.

In-Person at RTA Centers

• Customer Happiness Centres.

• Salik Service Counters at select RTA offices.

Activating Your Salik Tag

Registration links your tag to your account, but you must activate Salik tag before driving through tolls:

Online Activation via Salik Website/App

• Log In: To activate your Salik tag through the website, go to the official website or mobile app and log in to your account.

• Select Tag Activation: From there, select tag activation, followed by providing your tag number, activation key, and any other necessary information.

• Confirm: The system verifies your data and activates the tag. You will receive a confirmation message.

Dubai Now / Dubai Drive App

• Launch the App: If you prefer doing it through the Dubai Now/ Dubai Drive app, then open the application and log in to your account, from there select Salik, and next select the Tag activation option. 

• Give Necessary Details: Type the same information that was needed for the online activation.

• Completion: Activation confirmation appears in-app.

Salik Call Centre

You could also call the Salik Call Centre at the number 800-72545, after which you would be instructed to provide your tag number as well as activation key, following this an agent will activate the tag for you. 

Salik Recharge and Balance Check

Once your tag is registered and activated, the next step is to make sure it has the necessary balance throughout the time, and if not, it is recharged. 

Salik Recharge Online

• Log in, choose Recharge.After doing that, decide on the amount you want to recharge your tag with and enter it.
