In all emirates of the UAE, drivers can now receive a discount of up to 50% on their traffic fines. The traffic police occasionally announce a reduction in unpaid fines. Drivers who commit traffic violations now get a second chance to pay a lesser fine, according to UAE police.

The Sharjah Police General Command has announced a 50% discount on RTA traffic fines issued throughout the emirate in honor of the 51st National Day of the United Arab Emirates.

Traffic Fine Discount In UAE

• The opportunity to receive a reduction in UAE traffic fines has been made available to motorists nationwide.

• Police departments in the emirates often launch campaigns and promotions that give discounts to drivers who have accrued fines.

• Sharjah's police department has joined those in Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah in granting early payment reductions of up to 50% on traffic penalties.

Traffic Fine Discount Scheme In Abu Dhabi

• According to the Abu Dhabi Police statement, if you pay the fine within 60 days of being issued, you receive a reduction of 35%. 

• If you don't pay the fine within the allotted two months, you can still receive a 25% reduction if you do it within a year.

• You must have a credit card or debit card from one of the five banks connected to the Abu Dhabi Police for this scheme to use the service.

• In addition to receiving a discount on the fines, Abu Dhabi also offers the option of spreading out larger fines over a longer period of time. 

Traffic Fine Discount Scheme In Sharjah

Sharjah is the fourth emirate to give a 50% reduction on Sharjah traffic fines. From December 1, 2022, and January 20, 2023, drivers may use the discounted rate.

Traffic Fine Discount Scheme In Ajman

• There is a 50% reduction in fines for offenses committed in Ajman before November 11. Before January 6, 2023, drivers must pay the penalty.

• Severe traffic violations including endangering life, running red lights, and exceeding the speed limit by more than 80 kph are not covered.

• The Ajman Police/Ministry of Interior apps, automated Sahl kiosks, and police customer service centers all offer ways for drivers to pay their fines.

Traffic Fine Discount Scheme in Fujairah

• Following the emirate's discount scheme, drivers can reduce their traffic penalties by 50% starting on November 29 and continuing for 60 days. Moreover, black points will be canceled.

• Serious traffic offenses are excluded, although it will pay fines incurred before November 26.

Traffic Fine Discount Scheme In Umm Al Quwain

• Traffic violations committed by drivers in Umm Al Quwain might result in a reduction of half their traffic fines. The sale is valid from December 1, 2022, to January 6, 2023. The fine reduction applies to offenses that occurred before October 31.

• The program does not apply to serious traffic violations. You may pay penalties using the Ministry of Interior app or the police website.

To encourage drivers to pay their substantial outstanding balances and vehicle registration renewal, the UAE government continuously introduces traffic penalty reduction programs. Also, this aims to lessen the financial strain on drivers. Keep a safe drive and avoid traffic fines.
